There are all types of homes but only a few will likely work for your family. Here are a 6 Questions you may want to consider as you begin your search.

A few questions you should ask yourself as you’re starting your search, and the most important question, is where do you want to live? Do you prefer to be in the suburbs or are you the energetic type who loves to be around the hustle and bustle of the the city? Once you got this figured out the next best thing is to decide on the kind of home that’s going to work best for you and your family.

  1. How many bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footage do you need? Are you a growing family or are you looking to downsize? The answer to this question will likely be the decision that answers many of the others.
  2. Are you looking for a two-story, ranch, or another particular style home in general like a bungalow or a split-level?
  3. Does the master bedroom need to be on the first floor or would you rather have it upstairs with the rest of the rooms?
  4. How about a bonus room? Does that matter to you? Some people like the flexibility that comes with having an extra room for entertaining, office space, extra bedroom, or maybe even storage.
  5. How about the kitchen? Are you looking for a large kitchen with granite counter tops, tile back splash, and staggered cabinets? Or, are you looking for a project where you can do the kitchen yourself?
