How Will Immigration Deportation Affect The New Homes Business

President Trump entered office with a campaign promise to build a wall and deport millions of immigrants who now live in the United States. While that issue alone has ignited anger and protest around the country it has also raised the question of how will it affect the new homes business.

Many home builders use sub-contractors from various trades to assist in constructing a home. Plumbers, painters, electricians, flooring professionals, and others all come together at different times of construction to build the perfect home. But how will the new executive order affect many people who work on construction crews that weren’t born in the United States? Will the new policy cause business to stall? What do you think?

Urhous is conducting a survey of home builders around the Triangle to gain their take on how the new immigration policies will affect their business and the new homes market as a whole.
